Welcome Megan Ruch! Megan's molasses cookie was selected by Dale Miller a few years back as "best dessert" cookie  in The Capital District. Megan is a talented baker and  artist at The Albany Barn.

An egg wash using the yolk and white thinned with water will result in a brown and shiny finish to baked goods.


I "fluff" my flour when scooping (for best results) no need to sift unless the directions in a recipe specify.


Crack your eggs on a flat surface, instead of on the rim of a bowl, to guard against small pieces of shell in your eggs.
